1956 - Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 14  April. 

He studied guitar from his early childhood with the Master José Franchini, ten strings guitar with the Master Narciso  Yepes, as well as composition and orchestra direction with the Master Pedro Herz.

1973 - He started his professional career giving performances in the most important concert halls both of Buenos Aires and the provinces, such as the Colón, Coliseo, Gral. San Martín and Presidente Alvear Theatres.

1978 - He was awarded by the Honduras Republic the distinction Honor to Merit for his diffusion of the South American music.

1981 - He's introduced to Narciso Yepes  and starts taking ten strings guitar classes with him. Since then, he started searching for forgotten compositors, making arrengements and composing music for this instrument.

1982 - He sets up the chamber duet TABBUSH - BENITO with the flutist Claudio Tabbush.

1984 - He entered as soloist in the Chamber Orchestra The Buenos Aires Soloists,  an institution formed by musicians belongingto the National Synphonic Orchestra, the Buenos Aires Philarmonic Orchestra and the Stable Orchestra of the Colón Theatre.

He was also invited among others, by the Philarmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of  Buenos Aires, Argentinean Instrumental Ensamble, Chamber Orchestra of  Belgrano University (from which he is one the foundation members), Mayo Chamber Orchestra, Sinphonic Orchestra of  San Pablo University  (Brazil ) and Colombia University's Sinphonic Orchestra.

He gave several performances in Germany, France, Spain, United States of America, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and Uruguay.

1993 - He recorded his first CD “WORKS”, with  compositions dedicated to Néstor Benito by José Franchini  and compositions by  Eduardo Falú.

1994 - Sponsored by the  O.E.A - American States Organization, for his  CD “WORKS  he participated in broadcastings and Television shows with the Philarmonic Ochestra of Berlin, the Philarmonic Orchestra of New York and the Philarmonic Orchestra of  Mexico among other  international  musicians.

1995 - He performed his compositions INWARDS Nº 2, HOMAGE TO JOSÉ FRANCHINI - nocturne and DARKNESS - impromptu for the first time at the Colón Theatre in Buenos Aires.

1997 - He recorded his CD “THE GUITAR IN ARGENTINA” with compositions by José Franchini, Eduardo Falú and his owns.

2000 - May / June - Sponsored by the Culture Business  Argentinean Chancellery General Direction, Music Direction and  Friction Technologies Corporation Inc. from Missouri -  USA, he starts a new concerts and masterclass tour  presenting his CD The Guitar in Argentinain Universities and concert halls in USA, concluding with a concert at  the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Wahingotn DC.

He recorded his CD TEN STRINGS FROM HEAVENwith compositions by Fernando Sor, Franz Liszt, Carlos García Tolsa, Heitor Villa Lobos, José Franchini and his owns, in St. Louis.

2001 - He sets up a duet BENITO - CIRIACI with the chamber violoncellist Adrian Ciriaci.

November / December - International tour in Mexico. 

2002 - Recording of the Concerto in A Major for guitar and strings Op.30 Nº1 by Mauro Giuliani with the Mayo Chamber Orchestra, directed by Master Luis Roggero, for the Argentinean Solists Catalog edited by the Argentinean Council.

May 27th  - Kinor Foundation Buenos Aires 2002 opening season concert, with the Mayo Chamber Orchestra - directed by Master Luis Roggero. The sinfonic orchestras of Jerusalen and Spain and Pepe Romero - guitar among other soloists take part in this series of concerts.

   
Recording of the new CD 2003, celebraiting his thirty years as a musician it includes the Concerto in A Major Op.30 Nbr.1 by Mauro Giuliani and solo works by Sor, Liszt, Garcia Tolsa, Villa Lobos, Franchini and Benito.
   

November 30th - Concert in the Colón Theatre in Buenos Aires.

December 2th to 10th - International tour in Mexico  

 
2003 - Tour in Mexico presenting the CD "NESTOR BENITO-GUITARRA SOLA", produced by Ediciones Pentagrama - México, sponsored by the Culture Business  Argentinean Chancellery General Direction.

2004 - Internacional Tour - United States Latin America - Supported by the Culture Business  Argentinean Chancellery General Direction, Néstor Benito made a new international tour of concerts and masters classes in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, El Salvador and Panama, presenting its CD "NESTOR BENITO - GUITARRA SOLA", produced by Ediciones Pentagrama - Mexico.
