José Franchini was born in Buenos Aires, the 31 of 1912 July.

At the age of eight years, it began to study guitar with its uncle Roque Amendolari, continuing its studies with the teacher Eduardo Amestoi, and in music and composition with the teachers Cesari, Carumpio and Vicente Demarco.

In 1932, already it was a concertista recognized in Argentina, Domingo Prat in its Dictionary of Guitarists mentions it like a new value of the Argentina guitar.

It made concerts in Buenos Aires and extensive national and international tours of  concerts.

In 1932, created the first Argentine quinteto of of guitars. In 1993, it created the feminine quartet infantile (only at its time), which I act in Belgrano Radio, Mitre Radio, Buenos Aires Radio and Callao Radio.

In 1934, it integrated the quartet of guitars of the singer Agustín Magaldi, with the name of Jose Frankie, its incorporation to the quartet had great importance since it created a new style in the form to accompany singers, giving a richer musical frame in expression and loudness.

Also it acted next to the singers Edmundo Rivero, Azucena Maizani and Rosita Quiroga.

Since composer has made an important work production for guitar dedicated to his disciple Néstor Benito, Preludes Nº1 , Nº2, Melody, Suite "The Pampas" composed in 1979 and Dances of the Red Earth Nº1, Nº2, Nº3 composed in 1980, was released and recorded by Néstor Benito with great success in the CDs. WORKS, The Guitar in Argentina,  Guitarra Sola published in Mexico and Ten String From Heaven and Néstor Benito - Guitar, published in U.S.A.

In pop music it composed tangos, milongas, estilos and valses that had much importance in Argentina,  Por el Mismo Camino (tango), Solo Para Ti (vals), Zulma (Russian song), Liberata (milonga - candombe), Casi Hermanos (milonga), Arco Iris (estilo), Al Último Bohemio (tango) not yet has been released.
