Néstor Benito
Young, Talented and Necessary

OBRAS, by Néstor Benito. Works: "Argentine Suite"by Eduardo Falú; "The Pampas Suite" and " Red Soil Dances" by José Franchini. Production: Melopea. CD format.

It is difficult to find in the local CD production, a disc that encompasses so varied and interesting a proposal. On the one side, the excellence of the playing of such a guitarist as Néstor Benito, and on the other, the successful choice of works to perform.

The "Argentine Suite" by Falú, find here another great interpreter to emphasize its clear concept.

Be it in the " Style", to dwell on one fragment of the work, where the strings find a moving causeway and Benito's hands play with crisp sensitivity.

Franchini's work have underniably a "gaucho" feeling and the guitar manifests itself with absolute pain, some works magnifying the presence of solitude even further. The "Milonga" of the "The Pampas Suite" is clear example.

This young instrumentalist, who has already opened his international path, has provided the local CD market with invaluable material in this release.

A guitar such as this was used in the 60’s by the Spanish Maestro, Narciso Yepes. Benito owns his own 10-string guitar since 1981.

"In this excellent version of the "Argentine Suite" for solo guitar, Néstor Benito faces the interpretation of works for guitar by Argentine composers, something that is happening in the European guitar world, in which guitarists feel great attraction for the particular rhythms, color and phrasing of our varied local music spectrum.

Then continue, Benito, with your firm commitment to paint your world to make it universal, with your Art and your Guitar."

He came on stage under a closed applause and left with an ovation after performing three works as encores.

Néstor Benito again showed that, besides being a distinguished and prominent 10-string guitarist, has a temperament, which allows him to project each of his readings with enormous strength to his audience.

We believe that the great Maestro, Narciso Yepes, has found in Néstor Benito his true successor.
